You must complete all the one-time actions in?GetStarted? at www.Grants.gov prior to submitting your initial application.APPLICANTS, WHO ARE NOT REGISTERED WITH CCR AND GRANTS.GOV, SHOULD ALLOW ATLEAST 14 DAYS TO COMPLETE THESE REQUIREMENTS. It is suggested that theprocessbe started as soon as possible.Area of Interest 13 - Advanced Nitrogen OxidesNOx emissions have been capped at levels well below current standards underEPA?s Clean Air Interstate Rule which addresses concerns about secondary fineparticles (including those formed by reactions with NOx) and ozone. Thisruleessentially extends the current NOx State Implementation Plans to twelvemonthsfor mid-western and eastern states while ratcheting down the allowableemissions of NOx. Currently selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is theworkhorse for the largest units of the existing generating plants inmeetingcurrent NOx regulations. However, the deployment of this technology hasbeenexpensive and has resulted in the generation of SO3 plumes.
